One Eye Bandit cracks the ton for Wave Runner

6 June 2025 - Addington Raceway, New Zealand

Wave Runner's 11th grandchild, One Eye Bandit (OEB), recorded his first win for trainer/driver Bob Butt on a miserable winter’s night. He is a 3YO bay gelding by Always B Miki out of Break Dance, who was Wave Runner’s 3rd foal.

OEB delivered in style and looks like he has more wins in store. Watch the replay here. Bruce Stewart from Harnesslink has written a great back story to OEB, who hails from Tuapeka Lodge.

In doing so he made it 100 wins for the progeny of Wave Runner. Her first winner was Digital Art on 12 March 2015 at Timaru Raceway.
